Do you buy cars that are still on French plates?
Yes. We buy French-registered cars on both the current SIV plates (like AB-123-CD) and the older FNI plates (like 1234 AB 75), as well as French cars that have already been registered in the UK with a V5C.
Do I need to register my French car in the UK before selling it?
No. You can sell it to us on its French plates. UK registration and the DVLA paperwork can be our job, not yours.
What paperwork do I need for a French car?
The certificat d'immatriculation (carte grise) in your name, photo ID, all keys and any service history (carnet d'entretien). A recent contrôle technique report and a certificate of conformity are useful if you have them. Missing something? Ask anyway: we can often still help.
Do you only buy French makes?
No. We buy any make on French registration, from Peugeot, Renault, Citroën and DS to the Volkswagen, Toyota, BMW or Mercedes you bought in France.
Will being left-hand drive lower my price?
We specialise in left-hand drive, so we price it as a French LHD car with its own buyers, not as a right-hand drive car with a fault.
How will I be paid?
By bank transfer while our driver is with you. Funds usually clear within minutes, and we never ask you to hand over the car until the money is in your account.
Is collection really free?
Yes. We collect from your home, work or wherever the car is in the UK, at no cost to you. You choose the time.
My car is still in France. Can you collect it?
We can collect from mainland Europe, including France. Tell us where the car is when you ask for your valuation and we'll explain what's possible and how it would work.
What if there is finance on the car?
If it's UK finance, we settle it as part of the sale and pay you the balance. If the car is financed in France (a crédit or LOA), tell us up front so we can talk it through.
What is the 7-day price hold?
Once we've made you an offer, it stays fixed for seven days so you have time to decide.
